2022 Lavender Celebration

It's fast approaching, every second weekend of July we celebrate the peak of lavender season with an open air farmer's market. This event showcases some of the best local artistic talent, local crafts, and local farm offerings-see a theme? We try hard throughout the year to grow our market to include a diverse offering of products and arts along with the other staples of any craft fair. This year enjoy some food favorites now with an expanded menu providing all day long food and drink options. Find the market, in operation running from 10am to 6pm Friday and Saturday, and 10am to 4pm Sunday.

So what about the lavender? Our field really has two productive harvest times, our largest quantity of commercial lavender is the 2600 Folgate and 2600 Grosso. Folgate is completely ready for harvest during the celebration with Grosso following shortly after. Folgate is a culinary variety that has a great taste when used in many recipes. It's light taste and lack of naturally occurring camphor make it a great option for many recipes. Grosso is best used for display, essential oil production, and for use in sachets or sew and filled items. We offer both cut or U-Cut options throughout the season and the celebration is definitely the peak of harvest.

Join us for free arts and crafts, we provide a supply of lavender ingredients, coloring sheets, and other items for the kids (or the young at heart.) Take a break from the stress of life and craft with our lavender at the farm- cool breeze, smell of lavender, and amazing view of the hills and field. Follow guided projects or craft at your own pace and color outside the lines if you want, you do you!

Check it out! Every year we offer free tickets on our website. Sign up, it gets you a crazy buy one get one free discount on U-Cut lavender. Plus... as our event schedule matures you will get important updates. Trust us, you will want to be up to date on our event schedule adds, it really gets exciting as the celebration approaches. Most of our scheduled demonstrations are free, some require advanced registration such as painting classes so be sure to stay in the loop.
