Scanewa offers lake access for boating, fishing, swimming, and further down you can view the dam and access the lower fishing areas.

This short hike is easy for the kiddos to follow along and the interpretive reading along the way is a great experience. Awesome views at the end of the hike and a cool little cave to explore. The road can be a little primitive for some vehicles after the weather has been nasty.

There are plenty of campgrounds within five miles, if you are a camper looking to stay and have full hookup reserve early as summer they tend to fill up quick! For the more rugged of campers, we are within 20 minutes of your final campsite in the Gifford Pinchot.
