Mount Lawetlat'la "the smoker" as it is known to the Cowlitz, is an active stratovolcano that helped prepare the ground we use to grow our product. The pomace present in our soil helps aid in drainage, some areas are as thick as four feet below our foot of topsoil. 

     

     Our farm is surrounded by many adventures for the outdoor explorer local attractions include many campgrounds, Lake Skanewa which is only a few miles from the farm, the mighty Cowlitz River, not to mention hundreds of miles of forest roads to explore.
